BJP's Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga moves HC seeking to quash FIR by Mohali Cyber Police

BJYM National secretary Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has moved the Punjab and Haryana HC to quash an FIR filed against him by the Mohali police. The HC has sought a reply in this matter from the Punjab police.
The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) National secretary Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court and has sought quashing of an FIR registered against him in Mohali cyber police station on April 1. The BJYM is the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The BJP leader, in his petition, has said that the FIR against him was malafide, and the complainant, Dr Sunny Ahluwalia, had intentionally concealed the actual statement.
The complainant alleged that Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga made provocative statements, spread rumours, and tried to create religious and communal enmity. Bagga allegedly threatened Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal during a protest on March 30. The complainant also submitted statements and video clips of Bagga to the police.
Bagga refuted the allegations, and said that his statement did not constitute any offence and there was no intimidation or incitement to violence.
The High Court bench has sought a reply from Punjab Police asking why investigations should not be stayed.
Bagga, on Sunday, April 3, released a video saying that Arvind Kejriwal and the Punjab government were misusing their power. He said he would continue to criticise Kejriwal until he tenders an apology to the Kashmiri Pandits, who, according to the BJP leader, were insulted by the Delhi CM.
