BJP's Suvendu Adhikari wants to rejoin TMC, claims Kunal Ghosh
India Today
TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh claimed that Suvendu Adhikari wants to return to TMC after the BJP denied any tickets to his family in civic polls at Kanthi Municipality elections.
As Bengal heads for another round of polls, the civic body elections of 108 municipalities, Kanthi in East Midnapore has become a topic of heated discussion between the TMC and BJP.
TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh claimed that Suvendu Adhikari wants to return to TMC after the BJP denied any tickets to his family in civic polls at Kanthi Municipality elections.
"We have been told that Suvendu wants to rejoin TMC and is thinking about it. BJP hasn't given a single ticket to anyone in his family at Kanthi Municipality elections, a place which they thought was very close to them," said Ghosh on Wednesday.

However, he went on to state that since Suvendu has heavily abused Mamata Banerjee, the party will not take him back.
The BJP had not given a ticket to Soumendu Adhikari, who had joined the saffron party following the footsteps of his elder brother and Leader of Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari for the February 27 municipal poll in Kanthi, raising eyebrows in political circles in West Bengal.
With this, Kanthi municipality in Purba Medinipur district will not have a contestant from the Adhikari family for the first time in three decades.
