Even as the Maharashtra government stated that it will not allow anyone to disrupt peace in the state, BJP leader Mohit Kamboj has started distributing free loudspeakers to temples to play Hanuman Chalisa.
As the politics over loudspeakers at mosques heat up, BJP leader Mohit Kamboj has started distributing free loudspeakers to temples to play Hanuman Chalisa. This follows even as the Maharashtra government stated that it will not allow anyone to disrupt the peace and normalcy in the state.
On April 14, BJP leader Mohit Kamboj wrote a letter to the temple trusts and standalone temples that free loudspeaker sets were being distributed and that the trusts should play the Hanuman Chalisa and other devotional songs of gods and goddesses, keeping in mind the Supreme Court’s guidelines.

He made this offer in the wake of MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s call for shutting down high-decibel loudspeakers on mosques.
“Even today, where the Hindus are less in number, they are being discriminated against and the attacks are still on...In order to increase the faith of people in Hindu religion, I have decided to distribute loudspeakers at all temples,” read the letter by BJP leader Kamboj.
The BJP leader informed the temple trusts that the loudspeaker sets were being given for free.
“Install them (loudspeakers) in the temple premises and play Hanuman Chalisa and devotional songs of Gods and Goddesses on a daily basis,” said Kamboj.
