BJP's declining fortune in Kolkata civic polls over the years

The Bharatiya Janata Party is riding a declining graph in terms of seat count in Kolkata Municipal Corporation election. In 2015, the party won 7 wards while it bagged just 3 in 2021.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has not been having a good time in Bengal, at least when it comes to winning seats in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation election. In 2015, BJP won just 7 wards, while in 2021, the party barely managed to get 3 seats.
This comes six months after Trinamool Congress bulldozed the Bharatiya Janata Party in a win with a record margin in the 2021 Assembly elections.
