The BJP executive meeting was held today to chalk out the strategy of the Karnataka state assembly elections scheduled to be held next year.
With the ongoing political developments in Karnataka, the BJP state executive meeting was held on Saturday. The meeting is said to be called on to lay out the template for the party's strategy for the assembly elections which are scheduled to be held next year.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Basavaraj S Bommai attacked on the Congress over the hijab row and said that the grand old party had lost courage to speak on the issue. “In Vidhana Soudha also, they couldn't raise the issue. They are in a confused state on such issues,” said Bommai.
Bommai raised the issue of KS Eshwarappa’s resignation from the post of Karnataka’s Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister over the suicide case of a contractor and that the Congress was trying to make it a big issue. “In Congress’ tenure, a cop died by suicide by naming KJ George. The court had to intervene then and register FIR. What moral rights does Congress have to protest”, asked Bommai.

While planning the strategy for the assembly elections, the Karnataka CM said, “Congress has lost in every state. They'll drown here in Karnataka as well. Their scams are still alive. Congress did a scam of mattress and pillows in social welfare department, BDA site scam”.
