BJP plans to break Pakistan's world record of waving flags at Bihar event

At an event in Bihar's Bhojpur to honour the memory of freedom fighter Veer Kunwar Singh, the BJP plans to break Pakistan's world record of waving the maximum number of national flags simultaneously.
The Bihar unit of BJP will seek to break a world record, currently held by Pakistan, during the 'Vijayotsav' program of Revolt of 1857 hero Veer Kunwar Singh in Bhojpur, Bihar. The programme, which will be held on Saturday, will also be attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The programme is being held in the memory of Veer Kunwar Singh as part of the “Amrit Mahotsav”. According to the Bihar BJP, the event -- which will be held at Dulour Maidan located in Jagdishpur area of Bhojpur -- more than 75,000 people will wave the tricolour simultaneously.
Bihar BJP President Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal said that as soon as the Guinness Book of World Records came to know about this big event of the party, they expressed their desire to send their representatives. On Saturday, when 75,000 national flags will be waived in the program.
Jaiswal said that according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the record of hoisting the maximum number of national flags in a single event is in the name of Pakistan, where 57,632 national flags were waived in 2004.
A pandal of three lakh square feet has also been erected at Jagdishpur, the birthplace of Veer Kunwar Singh, for the event.
