BJP MP Locket Chatterjee files police complaint against TMC activist for beating journalist

BJP MP from Hooghly Locket Chatterjee filed a police complaint against Trinamool Congress activist and local panchayat chief Jahir Abbas for allegedly beating up a journalist. The journalist was allegedly beaten by Abbas's men on Friday night when he protested against beating of another man.
BJP MP from Hooghly Locket Chatterjee on Monday filed a police complaint against Trinamool Congress activist Jahir Abbas for allegedly beating up a journalist. The incident took place on Friday evening when the journalist, Palash Mukherjee, was returning home in Dakshinpara village of Hooghly's Baichigram area. After crossing the Baichigram level crossing, he saw at least 15 people beating a man on the road in the presence of TMC activist and local panchayat chief Jahir Abbas. On enquiry, the journalist got to know the man was being beaten on suspicion of theft.More Related News
