The BJP-led municipal corporations are at loggerheads with the Delhi government over the new excise policy that allegedly allows the opening of new liquor shops in residential areas.

South Delhi Mayor Mukesh Suryan on Tuesday said that the corporations will take stern action against the new liquor shops being opened in the residential areas if they are found flouting the building bylaws of the corporation.
