The victim in her complaint has alleged that she was kidnapped from outside her house by Dharmendra Gupta and Komal Gupta after she was forcefully made to sniff some substance. The victim further claimed that she regained consciousness somewhere near Jabalpur from where Komal Gupta parted ways with Dharmendra Gupta. He then took her on a bus to Balaghat where she was confined at his aunt's residence and was repeatedly raped by him.
Singrauli Superintendent of Police Birendra kumar Singh, while talking to India Today, said that Dharmendra Gupta, the main accused, has been arrested while Komal Gupta is still at large.
"The victim has alleged that she was raped by Dharmendra Gupta and was assisted in the kidnapping by Komal Gupta. We have booked both the accused under appropriate sections and further investigations are underway," said the SP.
