BJP hits out at AAP after councillor’s son opens fire in Amritsar; 1 dead

After the son of an AAP councillor opened fire in Amritsar on Saturday, killing one person and injuring another, the Punjab BJP slammed the ruling government over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
The Punjab BJP has attacked AAP over the law and order situation in the state, following the incident where the son of a councillor belonging to the Aam Admi Party (AAP) allegedly killed one person and injured another after opening fire in Amritsar on Saturday.
The son of AAP councillor Charandeep Babba allegedly opened fire on the 100-feet road near Sultanwind area in Punjab’s Amritsar on Saturday, June 11. One person was killed and another man was injured in the incident.

A fight reportedly broke out between AAP councillor Charandeep Babba’s son and a tenant of a shop. The fight was over the possession of the shop in the South Road area of Sultanwind.
Hitting out at AAP over the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab, BJP national spokesperson, Shehzad Poonawala, took to Twitter and said, “AAP= Anarchist Anti-people Party AAP councillor’s son in Punjab’s Amritsar opens fire & kills one,3 injured From Moosewala killing to RPG attack, Punjab law & order has been completely destroyed & now AAP itself has become the biggest threat to law & order in Punjab.”
The shopkeeper said that the alleged assailant had arrived at the shop with the intention of killing him. Upon seeing the revolver and pistol nearby, the shopkeeper also informed the police.
However, the police were unable to reach them on time and the alleged accused opened fire. Two people were injured and taken to the hospital. They were identified as Gurpreet Raja and Rishi Chaudhary.
