BJP creating perceptions: DK Shivakumar on reports of tiff with Siddaramaiah

Karnataka Congress MLA DK Shivakumar dismissed all reports of differences with Siddaramaiah and accused the BJP of creating false perceptions to influence the electorate.
The BJP is creating a perception of internal differences within the Congress party because it cannot return to power in Karnataka, Congress MLA DK Shivakumar told India Today TV, denying reports of differences between him and Siddaramaiah.
“This is a very good strategy of the BJP. The BJP knows that they can’t come to power. The people are very angry with their administration. They are the most corrupt government in the country. So they are creating a perception of our differences,” Shivakumar said, rubbishing reports of a tiff with the former chief minister of Karnataka.
“Where are the differences? We don’t have any differences. We are all one. The entire party is one. There are so many leaders, not just me. There are a lot of senior leaders in the party. So let us work together to ensure that Congress comes to power,” he said.

The veteran leader also brushed aside reports of tussles over the chief ministerial post.
“Media people are speaking about the CM post. Why has this come up now? Now, the BJP and the media are talking about an internal fight in the Congress over the CM post. This shows that the BJP has already lost its ground.”
“The chief ministerial candidate will be decided only when we have good and solid numbers. It will be decided by my party’s high command. It is not for me or anyone else to decide. We may all dream about it but we should deliver first and then discuss that issue,” he said, adding that the party leadership will also take a call on the Rajya Sabha and the MLC candidates.
