Amid criticisms of the Uttar Pradesh Government's Covid-19 management during the second wave, reports had emerged that the BJP brass might bring a change to the party's leadership in the state.
Amid rumours of a change in leadership in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the crucial Assembly election next year, a senior BJP leader heaped praise on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and called his government's handling of the Covid-19 pandemic "unparalleled". The remark by senior BJP leader Radha Mohan Singh, who is in Lucknow with BL Santosh for party review meetings, signals that Yogi Adityanath could continue to remain at the helm. “Generally, BJP review meetings take place twice a month, but this time there was a gap due to Covid-19. This pandemic was beyond everyone’s control. Despite this, the chief minister’s work was better compared to other states.
