
BJP calls attack on NHRC team probing post-poll violence in Bengal ‘hooliganism’

BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari termed the attack on a team of NHRC in West Bengal's Jadavpur as "hooliganism". The team is probing alleged instances of post-poll violence at the direction of the Calcutta HC.
BJP's West Bengal executive committee met for the first time on Tuesday. This was the committee's first official meeting since the conclusion of the 2021 assembly elections. On the same day, a team of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) was attacked in Kolkata's Jadavpur area. The team was on its way to interact with victims of alleged post-poll violence in West Bengal. According to officials, the NHRC team has now extended its stay in West Bengal by 24 hours.More Related News
