According to Chief Whip of the Opposition in Karnataka Legislative Council N. Ravi Kumar, a district in-charge minister ‘is morally responsible for the overall development of the district – be it educational, social, cultural, human resources’.
Chief Whip of the Opposition in Karnataka Legislative Council N. Ravi Kumar said that RDPR and IT-BT Minister Priyank Kharge — who is also Kalaburagi district in-charge minister — needs to look at the ‘pathetic state of affairs’ in the educational front in his home district ‘before rushing to give gyan on each and every subject to others’.
In a statement issued in Bengaluru on April 9, Ravi Kumar said Kalaburagi has the dubious distinction of being in the last but one position in the results of the II PUC examination, which were announced on April 8. “This is the stark reflection of the harsh ground reality,” Ravi Kumar added.
