After winning the Azamgarh and Rampur Lok Sabha seat in by-election, the BJP has now swung into action and is preparing for winning all 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP as per its 'Mission 2024'. BJP had to face defeat in 16 Lok Sabha seats in 2019 in Uttar Pradesh.
Two out of the 16 seats have come in the party's kitty after the by-elections held recently.
For the remaining 14 seats, the leaders and office bearers of those 14 Lok Sabha constituencies were called by the Organization General Secretary Sunil Bansal at the party's state office.
As per the party sources, BJP's organization minister Sunil Bansal has instructed the leaders and office bearers to take the schemes of the central and state government to the public and work hard to strengthen the party from the booth level. They have also been asked to strengthen the existing booth level workers and add more of them in the days ahead.
Instructing the leaders, Bansal said that if you win the booth, you will win the election. He asked the party leaders and others to embrace this mantra and to give extra attention to the booths in which the party is weak.
The office bearers from the 14 districts also conveyed their concerns to the organization. They received the assurance that all their needs would be taken care of, but there should be no slacking on their behalf.
Former cabinet minister Mukut Bihari Verma, after the meeting was over, said that today's meeting was held to discuss 14 Lok Sabha seats. In these seats, BJP candidates lost in 2019. In the meeting, the convener and in-charges and office-bearers of these 14 seats have been asked to start preparations for the elections from now onwards.
