BJP appoints former IPS officer K Annamalai as Tamil Nadu unit chief

The BJP on Thursday appointed former IPS officer K Annamalai as its Tamil Nadu state unit president.

The BJP on Thursday appointed K Annamalai as its Tamil Nadu state unit president in place of L Murugan, who took charge as the Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. After quitting the Indian Police Service (IPS), Annamalai had launched a foundation to help students. He joined BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit in 2020.
