The BJP named candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha bypolls. For two seats in UP, the party has named Bhojpuri singer and film star Dinesh Lal Yadav "Nirhua" from Azamgarh and Ghanshyam Lodhi from Rampur.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) named its candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha bypolls. Four candidates have been named for seats in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Tripura.
The saffron party has fielded Ghanshyam Lodhi from Rampur and Bhojpuri singer and film star Dinesh Lal Yadav "Nirhua" from Azamgarh for the Lok Sabha by-elections.
While Rajesh Bhatia has been nominated for the by-election to Delhi's Rajendra Nagar assembly. The BJP has fielded Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Shah as its candidate from Town Bordowli.
With this, there is a question mark over Mukhtar Abbal Naqvi's future. He was not named as the Rajya Sabha candidate and was not fielded from Rampur. Though there is still six months left for his RS term ro expire. If he is to carry on as a parliamentarian, he has till July to be elected to either House.
