Chandigarh's forest and wildlife department has made six floating 'mini islands' at Sukhna Lake, so that the migratory birds can come in large numbers and stay for a longer duration.
Here's some good news for the bird lovers in Chandigarh. With the winter season setting in, migratory birds have started flocking to Sukhna Lake after travelling thousands of kilometres.
In an effort to attract the migratory birds and to help these beautiful guests with additional habitat, the Union Territory's forest and wildlife department has made six floating 'mini islands' at Sukhna Lake, so that the birds can come in large numbers and stay here for a longer duration.
