Bike catches on fire in Chennai; rider escapes with minor injuries

A Chennai man escaped with minor injuries as his bike caught on fire while he was riding it near Mandaveli. The bike was completely gutted before firefighters arrived on the scene and doused the fire.

Arun Ramalingam, a Chennai man, was driving on his bike near Mandaveli when his bike suddenly caught fire. The incident occurred on Wednesday night, June 1.

He immediately jumped off it and escaped with minor injuries. However, he couldn't save the vehicle, which got completely gutted before firefighters could arrive on the scene and douse the fire.

The incident caused panic among commuters, slowing down traffic in the region.
