Bihar: Vehicular movement on Sattarghat bridge halted as Gandak river swells due to heavy rain in Nepal

Vehicular traffic on the Sattarghat bridge, which connects Gopalganj and East Champaran districts, has been suspended since Wednesday night following the huge discharge of water in the river from Nepal.
The sudden rise in water levels of Gandak river that followed heavy rainfall in catchment areas of neighbouring Nepal has led to a flood-like situation in many districts of Bihar.
