Bihar police have arrested one of the accused in the Begusarai mass shooting incident that killed one person and injured at least 9 people on September 13.
Bihar police have arrested one of the accused in the Begusarai mass shooting incident that killed one, while at least nine people were injured.
The accused has been identified as Keshav. On the basis of a tip, Jhajha police officials arrested the accused while he was onboard the Maurya Express Train. They then handed him over to the Begusarai police.

Two bike-borne men opened fire on NH-28 and NH-31 in Bihar’s Begusarai on September 13, killing one person and critically injuring at least 9 others. The act was captured on CCTV.
The motorcycle-borne assailants went on a rampage at Malhipur Chowk in Begusarai and fired indiscriminately at the crowd.
Several leaders condemned the firing. Former deputy chief minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar said, “In Begusarai, two criminals on a motorcycle shot at and injured 9 people. This is a first of its kind incident in the history of Bihar.”
One day after the incident, seven police officials were suspended for dereliction of duty.
