Bihar caste census: All is not well in BJP-JDU, there may be uproar very soon, says Upendra Kushwaha
India Today
The war of words over the caste census in Bihar has kicked up another row between the BJP and the JDU. Upendra Kushwaha said that because of the BJP, no decision is being made about the caste census.
The ongoing politics regarding the caste census is not going well between the Janata Dal United (JDU) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bihar. JDU leader Upendra Kushwaha has said that because of the BJP, no decision is being made about the caste census.
A day after agriculture minister Amarendra Pratap Singh said that the government would not be allowed to run at the behest of opposition leader Tejashwi, Upendra Kushwaha jumped in on the issue. The issue is getting out of Nitish Kumar’s hands and getting entangled in the statements of other JDU leaders.
The BJP is also reportedly unable to control their leaders, and Upendra Kushwaha does the opposite of what Nitish Kumar says.
Now, hitting out at the BJP, Upendra Kushwaha has said that the caste census was being delayed because of the BJP. This statement of JDU Parliamentary Board President Kushwaha was enough to instigate BJP leaders.
The JDU leader said that because of the BJP, the all-party meeting is not being held and no decision is being taken regarding the caste census.
Responding to Upendra Kushwaha’s words, BJP leaders have said that Upendra Kushwaha is absolutely wrong.
Attacking Upendra, BJP spokesperson Ram Sagar Singh said, “It seems Upendra Kushwaha does not listen to Nitish Kumar's statement properly. Nitish Kumar himself has said that work is going on on the matter of the caste census. Upendra Kushwaha should first consult with Nitish Kumar before asking these questions.”
