New commercial satellite pictures, supplied by space company Maxar Technologies, indicate that Russia could be planning to launch more offensive operations in coming days.
Thursday’s early morning air assault on Ukraine could be only the start of a long and continuous wave of Russian attacks in days to come. The UK's ministry of defence on Friday put out their intelligence assessment that observed Russia did not achieve its planned military objective on Day One of the attack.
New commercial satellite pictures, supplied by space company Maxar Technologies, indicate that Russia could be planning to launch more offensive operations in the coming days. New backward Russian positions have come up in the border areas to the north and east of Ukraine.
The backward flanks of Russian deployment continue to get stronger, suggesting that Russian plans for Ukraine could go much beyond the seize of the capital city Kyiv. British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace also said on Friday that Russia intended to take the whole of Ukraine and just the capital city.
"It's definitely our view that the Russians intend to invade the whole of Ukraine," Wallace told Sky News.
A new ground attack helicopter deployment has been observed near Tomarovka, Russia—located approximately 20 miles north of the border with Ukraine.
Two helicopters are also seen airborne in the area in the satellite images.
In a display of multipronged Russian military infrastructure, backward positions are getting supplies from the road, rail, and air mediums.
