Biden wants half of US car sales to be zero-emission by 2030

The ambitious goal, to be outlined in an executive order, has been voluntarily agreed to by top US automakers.
President Joe Biden will sign an executive order setting the “ambitious target” of making half of all new vehicles sold in the United States by 2030 zero-emission, the White House has said. The executive order, to be inked on Thursday, calls for 50 percent of US vehicles sales to be “battery-electric, plug-in hybrid electric, or fuel cell electric vehicles” in fewer than 10 years. It is the latest move by the Biden administration to undo former President Donald Trump’s dramatic loosening of many environmental regulations and climate protections.More Related News
