Biden to visit Louisiana to survey damage left by Hurricane Ida
Fox News
President Biden will head to Louisiana on Friday after the state was battered by Hurricane Ida.
The announced visit comes after Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards invited the president to the state, noting that "getting eyes on the damage in person" is far better than seeing it on the news. "I think getting eyes on the damage in person rather than reading about it, rather than hearing about it, rather than seeing it on TV is really important," Edwards said at a briefing Wednesday. "Because this is going to be a marathon, and we’re going to need a lot of help from our federal partners for a long time to come. And we need some of that help immediately."More Related News
