
Biden revokes Trump executive order sanctioning International Criminal Court officials

President Joe Biden revoked a Trump executive order that authorized sanctions on International Criminal Court officials and lifted sanctions on two officials, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement Friday.
Blinken also said the State Department terminated another Trump-era policy to impose visa restrictions on certain ICC officials. "These decisions reflect our assessment that the measures adopted were inappropriate and ineffective," he said.

The US State Department on Tuesday imposed visa sanctions on a former top European Union official and employees of organizations that combat disinformation for alleged censorship – sharply ratcheting up the Trump administration’s fight against European regulations that have impacted digital platforms, far-right politicians and Trump allies, including Elon Musk.
