Biden promises billions for ‘nature-based solutions’ to climate change
Fox News
The White House launched a plan this week that will deploy $25 billion in taxpayer funding in support of a "nature-based" approach to climate change.
"Nature-based solutions" means actions to protect or restore ecosystems that are also "solutions to societal challenges," such as the conservation of natural areas that help boost resilience to flooding or heat. Patrick Hauf is a politics writer for Fox News Digital.
President Biden initiated this new effort with an executive order he signed on Earth Day this year, which directed federal agencies to pursue nature-based solutions to the climate crisis.
