Biden pick for anti-Semitism envoy blasted Ilhan Omar for hateful ‘tropes’

President Biden’s pick to serve as special envoy to monitor and combat anti-Semitism has previously slammed Rep. Ilhan Omar for criticizing Israel.

Deborah Lipstadt, who is a professor of modern Jewish history and Holocaust studies at Georgia’s Emory University, was nominated to the ambassador position on Friday. Back in 2019, Lipstadt blasted Omar after the Minnesota Democrat created a firestorm when she claimed that pro-Israel Americans had an “allegiance to a foreign country.”
