Gun rights groups are set to defy the Justice Department's rollout of model legislation that gives states a framework to codify gun storage requirements.

Monaco said of the announcement. "The model legislation announced today provides states with new tools to improve the safety of legally-owned firearms and reduce the tragic toll of gun violence in our communities."
