Bhojpuri actor Kajal Nishad joins SP, says Congress sidelined her

Speaking to Aaj Tak after joining the Samajwadi Party, Bhojpuri actress Kajal Nishad said that Congress leaders stopped receiving her calls despite repeated efforts on her part.

After joining Samajwadi Party, Bhojpuri actor Kajal Nishad said Congress leaders did not answer her calls despite repeated efforts.Speaking to Aaj Tak, Kajal Nishad, who rose to fame due to her work in The Lapataganj serial, said she had been in politics for a long time and contested assembly polls from Gorakhpur on Congress ticket.However, Kajal Nishad claimed that Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Raj Babbar stopped answering her calls after Congress and Samajwadi Party formed an alliance. She further claimed that even after working hard for the party, she was sidelined.Kajal Nishad said she joined SP because the party would form the next government in Uttar Pradesh.Kajal is married to Bhojpuri film producer Sanjay Nishad and is a resident of Bhaupar village in Gorakhpur district. She also writes poetry and has attacked the BJP government on several occasions through her writing.
