The Samyukt Kisan Morcha's call for Bharat Bandh on Monday was met with a mixed response across the country with demonstrations held and roads blocked in some states while the shutdown had little impact in others. Here's all you need to know in 10 points.
The call for 'Bharat Bandh' issued by Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) to mark 10 months of the agitation against the Centre's three farm laws invoked a mixed response in most states. The impact of the 10-hour Bandh was perhaps the greatest in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand and Delhi-NCR.
In a statement on Monday, the farmers' outfit spearheading the ongoing agitation said the Bharat Bandh was observed peacefully in "more than 23 states", including Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Puducherry, Tripura, Uttarakhand and Tamil Nadu.
