Bhabanipur bypoll sees moderate voter turnout; BJP, TMC engage in minor scuffles

A moderate voter turnout was registered in Bhabanipur Assembly bypoll on Thursday where West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is contesting to retain her post. Minor incidents of scuffle were also reported between the BJP and TMC supporters in some areas.
The high-voltage by-election to the Bhabanipur Assembly seat registered a moderate voter turnout on Thursday, while the two other constituencies which went to bypolls in West Bengal recorded relatively higher turnouts.
At 5 pm, the voter turnout was recorded at 53.32 per cent in Bhabanipur. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is contesting from Bhabanipur to retain her post. She is up against BJP's Priyanka Tibrewal and CPI(M)'s Srijib Biswas.
