The accused is of Devinagar in Pradeep V of Vidyaranyapura. As per reports, the accused works as a boarding executive with an online company.
According to a report published in Times of India, the victim filed a complaint on December 21, 2021 stating that the accused had taken a loan of Rs 40,000 by using his documents and mobile phone. Later, Rs 9,000 was transferred from his account to another unknown one.
The businessman told police, ‘’In October, the man approached me saying he worked for an online company and needed a place to store goods and materials. A shop next to my office was vacant and I agreed to rent it out to him. After few talks, he asked for my documents, including registration certificate, Aadhaar card and PAN card. Later, he asked for my mobile number saying that he would install an app where the rent could be deposited directly every month.’’
In December, he was shocked to receive notices from a private firm saying that he had not paid monthly instalment of a loan.
