A woman from Bengaluru developed an infection after she underwent fat-free surgery. The woman alleged that the surgeon and aggregator were responsible for the infection she developed after the botched surgery.
Days after Kannada television actress Chethana Raj passed away after developing complications due to 'fat-free' plastic surgery, another similar case of botched fat-free or liposuction surgery came to light in Bengaluru. Akanksha Naini, a HR professional, has alleged that she was defrauded by aggregator Prystine Care and plastic surgeon Dr Karthik Vishwanath.
She has claimed that the surgeon and the aggregator are responsible for the infection she has developed after the fat-free surgery.
Narrating her plight, the inconsolable woman recorded a video in which she can be heard saying, "Dr Karthik, I will not leave you. You see my situation..what have you made me? I will tell everyone what you did but you kept hiding. My body is paining. I will make sure that you are behind bars."
In May, 21-year-old Kannada television actress Chethana Raj died after she underwent plastic surgery at a private hospital and later suffered complications. The actress developed complications as fluid began to accumulate in her lungs.
The father of the actress alleged that a clinic doctor brainwashed his daughter for the surgery for the sake of money.
On May 18, Bengaluru District Health Officer confirmed that the private clinic, where Chethana Raj underwent 'fat free' surgery, did not have the necessary licence to perform cosmetic surgery.
