A 42-year-old man in Bengaluru walked into a police station with blood-soaked clothes and surrendered himself after killing his wife and mother-in-law. This incident took place on Tuesday, February 21 in Sanjeevini Nagar, near Moodalapalya.
After dropping their kids off at school, Ravi Kumar returned home. An argument broke out between him and his wife, Sunitha (38), at around 10.15 am. For the past six months, Ravi had been suspicious that Sunitha was having an affair. He allegedly had a fight with her at 9.00 am, an hour before, about the same issue.
As per reports by the Deccan Herald, the argument at 10.15 am, however, spiralled out of control, and Ravi had picked up a coconut machete and tried to attack his wife.
However, Sunitha’s mother Sarojamma (60), who was in the couple’s house at the time, rushed to her daughter’s rescue. The machete struck her head and she collapsed on the floor.
Sunitha, furious over the attack on her mother, began to shout at Kumar, which allegedly angered him more. He got more aggressive and attacked both women until they died.
Kumar walked into the Chandra Layout police station at 10.45 am. He met sub-inspector Naveen, placed his house key on a table and confessed to what he had done.
