Bengal post-poll violence: NHRC forms committee to examine cases of alleged human rights violations

The chairperson of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) justice Arun Mishra constitutes a seven-member committee to enquire into the complaints of post-poll violence in West Bengal.
After the Calcutta High Court dismissed the government's plea on Monday seeking a recall of a judgment by a five-judge bench that directed the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to examine all cases of alleged human rights violations during post-poll violence, chairperson (NHRC) justice Arun Mishra, constitutes a committee to enquire into the complaints of post-poll violence in West Bengal. The committee was formed in accordance with the orders of the Calcutta High Court. The committee, formed by the NHRC chairperson, will be headed by Rajeev Jain, member, NHRC to enquire into complaints of post-poll violence in West Bengal.More Related News
