
Bengal Governor's visit to areas hit by post-poll violence 'violates' protocol, says CM Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar engaged in a war of words over the latter's decision to visit areas hit by post-poll violence that erupted in the wake of declaration of results of the state assembly elections.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday said that Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar's visit to post-poll violence-hit Cooch Behar in north Bengal "violates" long-standing protocols regarding field visits. In response @MamataOfficial urged her to revisit her stance & commit to constitution that by oath she is obligated to uphold & follow.This is time to address issues being faced by people in deep distress.
