Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar announces special CAG audit of Gorkhaland Territorial Administration

West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar has alleged that corruption persists in the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration, following which he has announced a special audit by the CAG on its accounts.
Alleging that corruption persists in the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA), West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday called for a special audit by the CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General of India) on the accounts of the autonomous body. After his week long stay in North Bengal Governor Dhankhar will be reaching Bagdogra Airport on June 28 at 11.30 AM and will reach Kolkata by flight at 1.30 PM. During his week long stay Governor interacted with numerous delegations, people and representatives of the area. Dhankhar, who was on a seven-day visit to north Bengal, said, “A very serious complaint was placed in front of me by the delegation, who came to meet me. Even the local members spoke about the corruption in GTA. There are crores of corruption in this area.”More Related News
