BJP has posted a video on its social media handles attacking the TMC for post-poll violence in which they have used a photo of IndiaToday.in journalist Abhro Banerjee claiming him to be a victim.
West Bengal BJP on Wednesday released a video on the post-poll violence and used the photo of Abhro Banerjee, an IndiaToday.in journalist, to claim it to be that of 'Manik Moitra' who had died in Sitalkuchi. I am Abhro Banerjee, living and hale and hearty and around 1,300 km away from Sitalkuchi. BJP IT Cell is now claiming I am Manik Moitra and died in Sitalkuchi. Please don't believe these fake posts and please don't worry. I repeat: I am (still) alivehttps://t.co/y4jKsfx8tI pic.twitter.com/P2cXJFP5KO “ , ”. These were Mamata Didi's words during a pre-poll rally in Nandigram.Clearly, the pogrom that has taken place in Bengal was long planned by TMC!Is this how democracy looks like? Nation wants an answer, @MamataOfficial! pic.twitter.com/Sy8u7ii3Lv The BJP had earlier shared the names of 9 victims of post-poll violence in Bengal and among them were Momik Moitra and Mintu Barman, who were killed in Sitalkuchi. However, no one was identified as 'Manik Moitra'. Although the video has now been taken down from the West Bengal BJP Facebook page, it is still live on the @BJP4India handle and has been watched and shared thousands of times.More Related News
