
Bengal Assembly scuffle leads to hospitalisation of TMC, BJP MLAs

A scuffle between Trinamool and Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs has resulted in the hospitalisation of eight leaders from both parties.
A scuffle between the Trinamool Congress and BJP MLAs inside the Bengal Assembly on Monday, March 28, led to the hospitalisation of elected representatives from both sides.
While TMC's Asit Majumdar was rushed to the hospital straight from the assembly, seven BJP MLAs, who alleged that they were assaulted, by TMC MLAs, were hospitalised as well.

BJP MLAs, including Manoj Tigga, Sikha Chatterjee, Chandana Bauri, Narahari Mahato, Nadiar Chand Bouri, Dr Ajay Poddar, and Lakshan Bauri were admitted to a private hospital. A BJP official said that Manoj Tigga suffered a major injury to his ribs.

On the other hand, TMC MP and doctor, Santanu Sen, tweeted a photograph of a rib-cage X-ray with Manoj Tigga's name on it and wrote that "Tigga's ribs were fine".
