Beast box office collection Day 6: Thalapathy Vijay's film to cross Rs 100 crore in TN

Thalapathy Vijay's Beast will join the Rs 100 crore club in Tamil Nadu soon. The film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, collected Rs 93 crore during the extended opening weekend.
Thalapathy Vijay's Beast is wreaking havoc in Tamil Nadu box office. During the opening weekend, the film collected Rs 93 crore in the state and is all set to enter the prestigious Rs 100 crore club soon. The film is facing stiff competition from Yash's KGF: Chapter 2 and SS Rajamouli's RRR. Yet, Beast is holding well in Tamil Nadu.
Beast, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, hit the theatres on April 13, one day ahead of Tamil New Year. The film had a five-day opening weekend, which gave it a slight edge over KGF: Chapter 2.
Trade analyst LM Kaushik wrote, "After its alltime record opening day in TN, #Beast has gone on & registered an *alltime record opening 5-days total gross in TN* (93 CR) after its extended opening weekend. #Thalapathy @actorvijay - The Boxoffice Brand (sic)."

He also pointed out that Beast is doing exceptionally well in the Telugu states and the international market.
