BCCI announces schedule for South Africa, Australia series at home before T20 World Cup 2022

India are all set to take on Australia at home in the final week of September in 3 T20Is. The Asian giants will face South Africa in 3 T20Is and as many ODIs in September-October at home.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday, August 3 announced the schedule for the limited-overs series against Australia and South Africa at home in September-October. India will begin their home season with 3 T20Is against Australia and 6 LOIs vs South Africa before the T20 World Cup campaign in Australia.
India will play Australia from September 20 to 25th while the T20Is against Australia will be played from September 28 to October 4. The ODI series will be played from October 6 to 11 against South Africa. It remains to be seen if India will play all their first-choice names for the ODI series as the Super 12 stages of T20 World Cup will get underway in Australia from October 22 with india taking on Pakistan on October 23.
However, the T20Is against Australia and South Africa is all set to be good warm-up for the T20 World Cup Down Under.
Mohali will host the first T20I against Australia with Nagpur and Hyderabad hosting the second and third respectively. The home series against South Africa will begin in Thiruvananthapuram.
"The second T20I will be played on October 2, 2022, Gandhi Jayanti, to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at Guwahati, followed by the last T20I at Indore," the BCCI said.
The action will then shift to Lucknow on 6th October where the ODI series will get underway. Ranchi and Delhi will host the second and third ODI respectively.
