Russell said that the 20-year-old Sangha, has a "bright future" ahead of him and has a big heart after the veteran West Indies all-rounder denied the young Australian spinner a hat-trick on Sunday.
Russell's first delivery of the match was Sangha's hat-trick ball after he had dismissed Melbourne Stars captain Glenn Maxwell and opener Marcus Stoinis, both of whom were well set. Russell ended up playing the ball off safely but got a second life in Sangha's next over when he played on but the zing bails did not fall off after the ball hit the stumps.
