Bappi Lahiri's last TV appearance was on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

Bappi Lahiri breathed his last on February 15 at a Mumbai hospital. The legendary singer and music composer's last appearance on a TV show was on Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.
Bappi Lahiri passed away on February 15. He was not keeping well after testing Covid positive last year. The singer and music composer's last TV show appearance was on Zee TV's singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in November, 2021. On the show, Bappi Lahiri appeared with music composer Anandi of Kalyanji-Anandji fame.
On Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Bappi Lahiri brought a retro charm to the show as the contestants were seen putting in a great effort to recreate some of his popular numbers. When contestant Sharad Sharma sanf Padh Ghungroo from the film Namak Hala, Bappi Da was mighty impressed. The song took him down memory lane and reminded him of the time when Kishore Kumar recorded the song for him.
Sharing a picture with Anandji and judges Shankar Mahadevan, Himesh Reshammiya and Vishal Dadlani, Bappi Lahiri wrote, "This picture is very special #anandji @vishaldadlani @shankar.mahadevan @realhimesh (sic)."
Contestant Dipaayan Banerjee, who hails from Kolkata, impressed Bappi Lahiri on the show with his rendition of Thodi Si Jo Peeli Hai and he called him No 1.
Bappi Lahiri loved Kerala's Yumna Ajin singing Koi Yahan Aha Nache Nache from the film Disco Dancer. He said, "Fantastic, aisa lag raha hai phir se ek disco era chaalu karna chahiye with Yumna (It looks like we need to start a disco era with Yumna)."
