Bappi Lahiri left for his heavenly abode on the night of February 15, 2022. The veteran singer passed away after suffering from multiple health issues. After he was hospitalised, Bappi Da's health worsened and he breathed his last. He was regarded as the disco king of Bollywood as he introduced disco tracks to Bollywood. Remembering him, a lot of celebrities have offered their condolences. Before he passed away, Bappi Lahiri had shot an advertisement for a clothing brand.
A clothing brand named Irth shared the ad on their official Instagram handle. The ad was shared by them yesterday, February 15, 2022. In the advertisement, everyone can be seen grooving to the tunes of Bappi Lahiri's iconic song, Jimmy Jimmy.
Sharing the ad on social media, the owners of the brand wrote, "After two dark years, we want to encourage people to dance like no one's watching - experience moments of feeling truly free, decadent, and joyous. Featuring in our film is the one and only musical maestro, the legendary Bappi Lahiri, a mega icon who has made many generations dance. Come, get on the floor with us. (sic)."

For the unaware, Lata Mangeshkar sang Bappi Lahiri's first composition for a Bengali film. In a throwback interview with Times Of India, Bappi Da said, "She sang many Bangla songs for my father (Aparesh Lahiri) who was a well-known composer in Kolkata. From then on she has supported me. She sang my first composition in a Bengali film Daadu. If she hadn’t sung for me, I’d have been swept away by the competition."
