Banned terror outfit ULFA planning major strikes on security forces, civilians: MHA issues alert

The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an alert over possible strikes on security forces and civilians by banned terror outfit ULFA.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued an alert over a massive recruitment drive by banned terror outfit United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) and the extremist group's plan to launch major attacks on civilians and security forces.
India Today accessed the MHA note which revealed, "Ulfa is planning major strikes on security forces and civilians besides intensifying its kidnapping spree."

As per intelligence inputs, the group is recruiting youths in Assam and other parts of the country, including Delhi and NCR. Newly recruited youths are being trained in camps near the Myanmar border.
The MHA has asked the National Investigation Agency to investigate the matter.
