After a Covid-19 scare, the first ODI between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is all set to get underway at the Shere-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. As many as 3 members of the Sri Lankan camp had tested positive for the virus but two of them returned negative results in the result of RT-PCR test on Sunday. All eyes will be on cricket as Kusal Perera will lead a new-look Sri Lanka squad in the 3-match ODI series. Sri Lanka will be without several of their senior players, including Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal. The visitors have never lost an ODI series to Bangladesh but they need a strong performance if they are to retain that record. On the other hand, Bangladesh are boosted by the return of Shakib Al Hasan who missed the New Zealand tour due to paternity leave. Mustafizur Rahman also is available in the squad led by Tamim Iqbal.
