Bangladesh's Tamim Iqbal opts out of T20 World Cup, cites lack of game time as primary reason
India Today
Bangladesh's ODI captain Tamim Iqbal said that he won't be playing in the T20 World Cup this year as it would be unfair on those who have played in the team since his last match in the format back in March 2020.
Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal has opted out of this year's T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Tamim, who is currently recovering from a knee injury, cited lack of game time in the T20 format as the main reason behind him opting out. The 32-year-old Tamim played the last of his 78 T20Is in March 2020. "Game time is the biggest reason. I haven't been playing this format for a long time," he said in a video posted on his Facebook page.More Related News
