Bangladesh pick Shakib Al Hasan in squad for first Test vs Pakistan, all-rounder's fitness to be assessed

Pakistan tour of Bangladesh: While Tamim Iqbal opted out due to injury concern, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who missed the T20I series, returns to the squad for the first Test.

Shakib Al Hasan returned to the Bangladesh squad for the first of a 2-Test series against Pakistan, starting Friday in Chattogram while opener Tamim Iqbal continues to sit out due to injury concerns. Shakib, who was ruled out midway during Bangladesh's T20 World Cup campaign with a hamstring injury, missed the 3-match T20I series at home.

Shakib Al Hasan's fitness will be assessed before the start of the 1st Test, the BCB said.
