India Today
Shakib Al Hasan says the time has come for him to "think about Test cricket" as playing all three formats for Bangladesh has become "close to impossible" for him.
Former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan is thinking about quitting Test cricket to prolong his white-ball career, the star all-rounder said on Thursday. Shakib will be skipping Bangladesh's upcoming Test series in New Zealand due to family reasons and has started contemplating about his future in red-ball cricket.
Shakib plays all three formats for Bangladesh but has been taking frequent breaks from international cricket over the last few years. He also served a one-year ban from the sport from October 2019 to October 2020 for failing to report corrupt approaches.
